The bolt is gone and its shadow is not. Wherever a thing sits against iron for long enough, it protects what is under it, and when you take it away you get a clean shape in a ruined field.
That is the whole piece. It is a portrait of an absent object, made entirely out of the corrosion that grew around it.
This is also the one I had cast, in iron, by a foundry in Kadikoy who thought I was mad. It has been outside for two winters and the real rust has almost caught up with the modeled one.
